BLAINE & REMINGTON

WHAT TO DO & WHERE TO EAT

DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY

Blaine and Remy often come here for Friday night drinks with friends, Saturday afternoon shopping, and various events, live music, and holidays the square hosts. The area boasts over 100 businesses, including art galleries, furniture stores, antique shops, gifts and home décor shops, clothing boutiques, and over two dozen eateries and restaurants. Many of the shops are housed within charming historic buildings.

Look out for the unique "Tiny Doors" art installation present on many of the shops near their own front door. There are more than 75 tiny doors as you explore McKinney's Downtown Cultural District.

THE CELT

An authentic Irish pub with live music, darts, and over 50 Irish Whiskeys. Try the fish and chips!

HARVEST AT THE MASONIC

Excellent spot for dinner with a jazz club-esque bar on the third floor with live music!

THE YARD

Situated in the heart of downtown McKinney and nestled under the towering canopy of old oaks. We love to come here to watch a game, hang out with friends, and have one of their craft cocktails or a cold beer (for Remy!). Try the chicken fingers—Blaine's favorite and Remy surprisingly agrees!

TUPPS BREWERY

Tupps is a family business that started with making craft beer in the family's garage in 2009. They have excellent craft beers and an extensive space that offers an experience for beer lovers and the whole family. The Grain Room restaurant and taproom is a place for people to gather, relax, eat, drink, listen to live music, and enjoy!

OAK HOLLOW GOLF COURSE

A hidden gem in historic downtown McKinney, Oak Hollow Golf Course is a beautiful par 70 championship designed by Maury Miller.

THE HUB - ALLEN

One of our favorite places to hangout on the weekends! The Hub is a three-acre open-air venue with an indoor air-conditioned dining hall with an outdoor space that hosts live music, outdoor movies, and sports watch parties. There is a full bar and 6 different restaurants for grab-and-go ordering.

THE HEARD NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM AND WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

The Heard Museum hopes to connect visitors with nature in hopes of inspiring, within each person, a deeper appreciation for the environment. Since 1967, the Heard has been dedicated to carrying out this vision through providing a variety of events and programs in their 289-acre nature preserve and museum.
